Six plays written, rehearsed, and produced in 24 hours. A galvanizing evening!
The previous evening, six writers, six directors, and 20-odd actors meet and greet each other; the actors offer audition pieces, and then they and the directors go home and sleep—and the writers get to work. The writers choose the actors they want to use (all actors must be used, and each only in one play) and write until dawn, when the actors and directors return (and the writers go home and sleep). The six plays go into rehearsal, lights and sound are added, doors open at 6:00, and the show begins at 7:00. The audience watches six plays that, 24 hours before, didn’t exist!
