Mary Hallock Foote & Wallace Stegner: An ongoing dilemma of authorship.

Sands’s comic-drama, Fair Use, which explores the controversy surrounding Wallace Stegner’s use of the life and the verbatim writing of 19th century artist/illustrator, Mary Hallock Foote in his Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, Angle of Repose, receives a staged reading in Boise, ID. The reading serves as a fundraiser for the Foote Park, to protect what’s left of the building where they lived near the Snake River, and to relay information about this fascinating couple. June 4th, at the Peterson Theatre, 7:00 PM.
