FAIR USE, a play by Sands Hall, explores the controversy surrounding the unattributed use Wallace Stegner made of the life and writings of Mary Hallock Foote in creating his novel, Angle of Repose. (Mary and her husband Arthur lived in the North Star house for 30 years of their amazing lives.) This is a fundraiser for the North Star House, as well as memorial to the dearly loved Peggy Levine, who worked so hard and successfully to restore the house and whose vision helped create the community center it has become. This staged reading features Kim Culbertson, Lois Ewing, Les Solomon, Tom Taylor, Sharon Winegar, and T.E. Wolfe.
